Moonwalking

My husband's in Europe for the week so kids & I are stuck in Manila. I might follow but am lazy to fly if am staying for a couple of days.

Went to Rustan's and had a snack with my dear, dear frined, Rima. She volunteered to take my photos so I gladly followed directions.

Had dinner out with the kids and saw the nicest full moon. Partly romantic, partly spooky.
Walked hand in hand with them while they're telling me playground stories.
I love how I used to read stories to them and now they're the ones telling me of their own.
Caught a glimpse at how the full the moon was tonight, time flies so fast, I hope we get to catch all the full moons that pass us by.

Bringing sexy back

Am wearing my short shorts today from SM. Very comfy, I like the chain detail at the back.
I love how SM was able to change their image and sell stylish , afforadable clothes.
Trekked to Alabang today for a fitting for the Rustan's fashion show for the kids. Then had lunch with my kids at Palms and met up with my high school friend there. Victimized her to take my photo. Like I always do with my friends.
Just a quiet day, enjoying the simple joys of life.

Palm Sunday

It's Palm Sunday today. Start of Holy Week.
May we find the time to meditate and focus on what's eternal.

Have a blessed one!

Glovely!

Got this from my favorite Culte Femme and it's so soft and pretty! They have the same supplier as the ones making for Balenciaga, how cool is that? Trust Culte Femme to always come up with the chic-est stuff.
Can't wait to wear this for my next trip!
Au revoir!

Culte Femme Shop and Spa

Went to the annual Shop and Spa of Culte Femme, I recommend you go there this weekend, Culte Femme has the nicest clothes at very good prices. You'll be the most stylish, for sure!
Had a foot massage courtesy of Island Spa together with CF . It was half an hour of bliss.
Picked up my son who just had a field trip and brought home 2 Mom-they-can't-be-together- kind- of- fishes. So, I've got 4 dependents this weekend. Hmmm... more of them to love...me, haha.
Enjoy the weekend!

Glutonny for Charity

overalls : Eairth, necklace : gift from Jackie Laudico

One of the things I like in my son's school is how they're taught hands on the true importance of giving.
Kudos to the Mano Amiga people for setting up Home Cafe for the benefit of Mano Amiga School.
The Everest kids helped cook, waited on tables, served guests all for the benefit of Mano Amiga, a PRIVATE school for the less fortunate . They help qualified less fortunate children get a chance at studying in a premier school.

One of the things that I apprecate from an institution when they not only teach kids academics but true apostleship.

Keep up the good work, guys!

Disclaimer : Ah no, those cookies are not all for me. I don't have a sweet tooth. For photo purposes.

Watch this space 2

Blue without you

I seem to be wearing a lot of blues lately.
Pardon the blurry, not so focused shots, the one behind the lens is my 8 year-old.
He had better things to do but Mom just had to ask him to do a mini photo shoot, he complied, not without hesitation and here's the end product.

Was busy today, did the usual grocery shopping then had a meeting with the architect. Quite exciting, actually. Can't wait to decorate the space.
Will show more in the next post.
Gotta get ready for my massage.
Time to chill out and relax....

Little House on the Prairie

dress from Causeway Bay, Hong Kong

My usual photographer, Rina, commented today that my outfit was prairie-inspired, how 70's!

I remember that there was this popular show called "Little House on the Prairie" back then. More like Melissa Gilbert as Laura Ingalls.

For the younger ones now, it's more like Keira Knightley of "Pirates of the Carribean".

As for me , it's just a dress I picked up in an alley store in my Hong Kong.

Start of the week! Have a good one!

Too excited!

After Mass and before going to my Mom's for lunch, quickly had a look at a "potential" site for my 40th.

Guess who's excited...

A Solo field trip

earrings : Janina Dizon

belt : Culte Femme, skirt : Paradi

Quickly went to the National Museum to see whatever improvements have gone on lately. The curator, Cora Alvina is a childhood family friend. Didn't get to see her but saw how much lovelier the place has been.

Quickly peeked at the SLIM exhibit and I was in awe!!! It is a must see.

I would've loved to absorb the place more but had to leave for my son's tennis lesson.
Wish more Filipinos would spend time visiting museums more than malls.

It's like going on a field trip every now and then.

Go visit the place for yourself, let's support Filipino culture!

Why don't you...

dress : Patrice Ramos-Diaz

1. Dress more glamorously
2. Exercise
3. Call an old friend, not just e-mail or text but make the effort to call
4. Start a project and finish it
5. Learn a new language
6. Say something nice to someone
7. Prove to your boss ( if you have any) that you do deserve the promotion
8. Tell your better half life would be boring without him/her
9. Travel
10. Throw a party for someone
11. Dream, all big things started as that
12. Really start using all those eco bags not just for fashion but because you care
13. Stop gossiping, it's bad for your spirit
14. Be the one people talk about ( good things of course) not the other way around
15. Be grateful for life, not everyone gets a chance at it
16. Stop judging people, in their eyes, you're the weird one
17. Live a life with time for your physical, mental, emotional & spiritual well being
18. Listen to music, it gets you in the groove
19. Pray, it's your antenna to heaven
20. Laugh, it keeps you young and light hearted

Life's good, always give your best but don't leave your humor when you live it.

Happy Saturday!

Bubbly

Wearing a bubble top from Luna.
Love how it gives me a red cotton candy kind of look.

It's Friday again, whew, that was fast!
Enjoy the weekend!

They've got it all!

Was at the SM Makati Sale today. Bumped into a lot of people. Everyone was saying, can't believe everyone goes to SM.
My answer, they've got it all! And indeed, they do.

Perfect symmetry.

Bottle up

Our whole family uses SIGG. The kids for school and activities , my hubby for his sports and myself for the gym or just for going out.

Its inside is indestructible and the bottle is eco friendly.
Swiss made so we're assured of quality.

And just like the banks, chocolates, pharmaceuticals and cheeses, if it's Swiss, it must be good.

Red highlights

dress : Assorti red necklace : Bangkok

shoes : Enzo Angiolini

shades : Calvin Klein
Love wearing linen clothing. Living in a tropical country, it's just perfect for the weather and I like how it eventually looks weathered.
Had a haircut today, wouldn't want the blow dried hair to go to waste.
Tried a new stylist, pretty good.
Let's see how it looks tomorrow.

The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree

My designer and good friend, the uber hip Hindy with Zoe for KIDDOS

Mai Kaufman looking like a beautiful mermaid

with Alexa for Rustanette

with the uber cool Pauline and son Elias

Cy Antonio, Ana's son

with the lovely and always sweet, Ana

Oh yea, got to squeeze in a photo of me as well while my kids were backstage.
The best people I have met and know are moms. I guess there's this certain mystique about giving birth that makes one look more appealing and content.
Nothing gives a better glow than that unconditional love and inspiration that one derives from having children.
It is the most challenging but most fulfilling experience I know.
These women are all friends of mine.
We may all like fashion but our common bond is motherhood.
The understanding of being a mother.
Loving the most precious gift.
The knowledge that someone thinks the world of you.
That's where the glow from these amazing women come from.
And may that glow even shine brighter with such marvelous kids around.

Mommy diaries

watching tennis

It was a day of chaperoning the kids with their activities.
Started out with a piano recital then rehearsal for fashion show then tennis then uhhmm, Powerstation. I am not a video arcade kinda mom but the job calls for it.
My nephew's sleeping over, they're playing Monopoly, getting their cheap thrill on real estate acquisitions.
Blogging now while hearing them laughing.
Not bad for a day's work.

TGIF

Got this dress years ago from SM. Whoever said one has to sacrifice on quality if a clothing is inexpensive.
In wearing clothes, I believe it's a relationship. You make the clothes look good and it should make you look good.

Friday's here, happy weekend!
