Hippie Chic!

Thank you to my neighbor, Anna Rufino for the lovely hoops.

retro theme for Moms' Day at my son's school

Spent the morning with a Mothers' Day celebration at my son's school.
Theme was retro, 60's, 70's, 80's.

Now that I am a Mom, I understand Moms.

Why they would get mad at petty things.
Why they would tell everyone our achievements.

Why they would tell their friends what's happening with their children's lives.

Why they're so protective.

Why?

Because they're moms.

Because, now, WE are moms.

Chosen to love beyond ourselves.

Chosen to care and raise good human beings

Chosen to mould children into admirable adults.

Chosen to always give.

Chosen to be a hero in our child's eyes.

And it sure feels great to be chosen.

Easter without you

getting ready to take the plunge

goofing around

It's Easter morning, our first Easter without my hubby. He's still in Switz and be back in a couple of days. We miss him terribly!
Kids and I heard Mass then they went swimming. Lovely weather as it was still too early for the sun to dominate.
They gave me a card which melted my heart. They're old enough to express their feelings. A sideline in Hallmark could be in the works.
My hubby has just been gone for a week, longest time without him but we count the hours til he's back. Made me think how much harder for those who live their lives away from the family.
Right now, I just appreciate that the distance made the heart grow fonder.
Can't wait!

The fruit doesn't fall far from the tree

My designer and good friend, the uber hip Hindy with Zoe for KIDDOS

Mai Kaufman looking like a beautiful mermaid

with Alexa for Rustanette

with the uber cool Pauline and son Elias

Cy Antonio, Ana's son

with the lovely and always sweet, Ana

Oh yea, got to squeeze in a photo of me as well while my kids were backstage.
The best people I have met and know are moms. I guess there's this certain mystique about giving birth that makes one look more appealing and content.
Nothing gives a better glow than that unconditional love and inspiration that one derives from having children.
It is the most challenging but most fulfilling experience I know.
These women are all friends of mine.
We may all like fashion but our common bond is motherhood.
The understanding of being a mother.
Loving the most precious gift.
The knowledge that someone thinks the world of you.
That's where the glow from these amazing women come from.
And may that glow even shine brighter with such marvelous kids around.

Mommy diaries

watching tennis

It was a day of chaperoning the kids with their activities.
Started out with a piano recital then rehearsal for fashion show then tennis then uhhmm, Powerstation. I am not a video arcade kinda mom but the job calls for it.
My nephew's sleeping over, they're playing Monopoly, getting their cheap thrill on real estate acquisitions.
Blogging now while hearing them laughing.
Not bad for a day's work.
