Manila Hotel's interpretation of Cirque du Soleil

Before the show, we decided to have an early dinner at Manila Hotel's coffee shop,

Cafe Ylang YIlang

They just renovated and I was quite happy that they're putting effort in reviving

this institution

We had our wedding reception in the Champagne Room of the said hotel

in the 90's

It was really beautiful then

We showed the kids where we had our wedding reception

We brought them there years ago when they were little so they couldn't remember

If in Manila, try to support our very own Manila Hotel

Let it grow and bloom again

It can only do that with loyal patrons

Good night!

The Circus is in town!

Watched the amazing Varekai last week

Have seen Cirque more than a decade ago in Hong Kong for their show Saltimbanco

It never fails to impress

Even my kids were amazed

When I see talents like these

It just makes me grateful for all the gifts He has bestowed on everyone

And for these gifted ones to mazimize their potential and share these gifts for the world to see

If you could, it is a must see!

Don't Mock the Muck

Reg Yuson's solo exhibit at Manila Contemporary
w/ 2 geniuses in their fields, Ed CAlma & Reg Yuson

w/ Ed & Reg amidst Reg's impressive art

the muck
photography by Thomas Wenger

w/ my hubby who only goes out with me when it's relating to art never fashion

Saturday afternoon
Whenever I need my good friend, Reg, he's there for me
And he knows I haven't missed an exhibit of his
Well, he joked, I did, 19 years ago
To which I replied
I wasn't born yet, haha
As we had guests with us from Switz
decided to bring them along
don't know if these teenagers understand Reg's art
But it's good exposure to them
What's really great about Reg's work
is how so much thought has been put into it
It amazes me when he explains his concept
that it's really, he thought of that?
Man, he must have a lot of time in his hands, haha
Bumped into Ed Calma , as well
Ed's a co-parent
Always nice to see another genius in his field

If you have time
try to drop by Manila Contemporary
Just hope that the artist is there
to better appreciate & understand
Enjoy the art!

A Solo field trip

earrings : Janina Dizon

belt : Culte Femme, skirt : Paradi

Quickly went to the National Museum to see whatever improvements have gone on lately. The curator, Cora Alvina is a childhood family friend. Didn't get to see her but saw how much lovelier the place has been.

Quickly peeked at the SLIM exhibit and I was in awe!!! It is a must see.

I would've loved to absorb the place more but had to leave for my son's tennis lesson.
Wish more Filipinos would spend time visiting museums more than malls.

It's like going on a field trip every now and then.

Go visit the place for yourself, let's support Filipino culture!
