I am a devout soccer mom!

That's right!
I'm in all the tournaments, may it be on a weekend, my sacred Sundays, trainings after school, tournaments
far and wherever, I am there.
Supporting, cheering, loving,  Under the heat.  Rain or shine.  WIn or lose.

My son recently joined the FCBEscola camp which was held last April in Ayala Alabang by real FCB coaches.  Since there's still school, we trekked everyday after school and came home late.  Life of an athlete.  Life of an athlete's mom.
I wouldn't have it any other way.

but it's always sold out that to this day I am still pining for one

Since it's Mothers' Day soon
I decided to be on a roll with close women friends of mine
All cool moms, hands on but still keeping their identity

Anne is one of my fave and most fun friend
When we're together we just talk and talk and at times at the same time, haha
She outtalks me though by a mile, that's right , Anne
I admire her for her business acumen
but even more for being such a thoughtful friend

She's the type who would send me e-mails just because something reminded her of me
Always texting to touch base
And we have our once-in-a-while lunch dates that we schedule a month before, haha
Just because life may be busy but friendships are gold

We also have worked together
I helped her renovate her teen daughter's room
She was the easiest person to work with!

You gotta love such a cool and warm chick like that!

Another dear friend of mine is Rica
Ms. Heart-2-heart
Rica is actually the cousin-in-law of Trish
And they share the same birthday

I have heard about Rica from our common friends even before I met her
They were talking about her new blog then
Until we became co-parents in school
And would see each other regularly

The rest is history

I am so thankful to her for documenting our lives
and for always supporting and cheering me through all my endeavours
She's also one to go to when I need maids or drivers
I think that says a lot when a friend tries to help you in your domestic staff woes
She's one of those few who really want to help me and recommend
Others don't even respond, haha
She obviously want me to have an easier life :)

I am so grateful for having Rica as one of my dearest friends
Always supportive, always listening , and apparently a big fan of my comedy
She put me as the funniest mom she knows on her fb page, haha

It helps that her husband, James, is as cool as a rockstar
Love it whenever I ride his cool wheels, wink, wink

Friendship is one of the most enjoyable, fulfilling gifts in life
And I am glad I have Rica as a friend

One of my closest friends is Trisha
If I met her 16 years ago, for sure she would be my bridesmaid
We met at the gym 8 years ago and has since then become good friends

It helps that her relatives are also friends of mine, by other circumstances
Manila IS small!

Every year, it has become our tradition to celebrate her birthday, just the two of us
And of course, she's always present in my annual birthday get together, except for that one year she missed

It's always easy being with her
There's just never a dull moment
And what I like about her
Whenever I talk and she just listens
She really does
Like one time years ago when I was looking at a school for my son
She texted and told me some options, but that was way after I told her
Just goes to show she listens and was actually thinking about it

To Trish, a happy, happy birthday, belated as it may be

I get inspired by everyday things
Right now, these pretty little things elevate my senses

I need a total stimulation of my senses at home hence I always have diffusers around, here's the vanilla scent I got from Daphne or Trisha, haha, don't remember which scent, they gave me the same Daphne home scents gift

Loving the Anne Ong cuffs right now, her star's rising as she won 2 consecutive design awards in Katha

And I've always loved indigenous stuff, got this from Greenbelt 5 at the stall of Puerto Galera products, everytime you buy you help them out

Just before we left for HK (HK na naman)
Our old neighbors and good friends, Raymond & Anna hosted an intimate dinner for their
friends
I miss having them next door
We had such a fun time living on the same floor that when I see their kids, I miss not seeing them (Stefano was the only baby then) do their routines

I am just glad that these two know how to keep and nurture friendships.
