Attended my good friend's surprise birthday party last night. Birthdays, I think, are always a time to celebrate. I don't have a fear of getting older. I think birthdays celebrate blessings and life.

Had dinner with one of my closest friends last night. Usual bonding. Greenbelt was packed on a Wednesday night. Looks like the economy's good.

Had Thai for dinner then cruised around. Saw this very cute bakery in GB5, thought of my kids and how they would love that place.

Just simple things moms do to unwind so we come home as even better moms.

When am wearing neutrals, I usually love to accessorize it with color. I think blue and brown is a perfect combination, the brown lets the blueness of the turquoise shine.

Now, if only most relationships can be as simple as that.

I've had this top for more than 4 years already, Everytime I wear this, I feel like dancing the flamenco! Not that I've ever tried.

I guess designers just can't get enough of ruffles as it is still so much a part of fashion today. Love the pairing with a fabric like knit. Big on femininity, big on style.

Abstract Reasoning

When I was in school, my favorite part of the tests is abstract reasoning. It's just fun and challenging how one can decipher the correct answer. I guess when it comes to art, it's also my artistic choice.

Got this from Drawing Room, one of my dependable galleries when it comes to contemporary art. It's by Fred Aquilizan who by the way has an ongoing exhibit at the Vargas Museum.

I've been looking at this trying to decipher what the artist wants to convey, unlike tests I used to take which has a time limit, this one I have a much longer time to figure out. Enjoy your abstracts!

Beauty begets beauty

My dermatologist's clinic, St. Luke's, Global City

Not just your typical derma clinic.

But what I really go for is the woman behind these doors. She's been taking care of my skin for 5 years now and since it's just 3 months til I turn 40, I am just happy I have her.

I don't do anything major, just basic cleaning and taking care of the skin. It's our first defense aganst the elements so why not spend extra time caring for it?

If you do want to grow old gracefully, aside from having a clean and pure spirit, do have a good derma in your speed dial.

Can't wait to turn 40!
