We trekked to Tagaytay for lunch at Antonio's

It's been 5 years since I last ate there

As always, it did not disappoint

Too bad my mom was not able to join as she's under the weather
When you want good food, lovely ambiance , where else but Antonio's.

Always a pleasure.

Sunday, Dec 5

dinner w/ Roy & Brandie Kaneshiro and cousin Donnie
w/ Brandie David-Kaneshiro outside Manhattan Village, Manhattan Beach

dinner at Paul Martin's

Paul Martin's, Manhattan Beach

outside the street of Papa Don's house
love the fall colors
eating popcorn from Target

One thing I savored during this trip is seeing all my good friends
who live far away
Brandie's family is a close family friend of my uncle's
Coincidentally, we were bridesmaids back in '96
at our common friend's, Hanna's, wedding
Funny how we found out we knew each other's families
She was then studying at Boston College
and small talk told her I frequent the States to visit relatives
She asked where, told her where
then I just realized, she was Brandie, Brandie, haha
Eversince then, we've kept in touch
I'd see her when I visit the States
and I'll take her out whenever she's in Manila
At one time, she even visited me in Hong Kong
So good to see her and Roy
And her lovely family
We stayed up at their lovely home til midnight
So good to catch up
and share each other's lives
Life's good!

Dining at Tivoli

Last day today to enjoy this gastronomic experience!

w/ my date
w/ Charisse Chuidian

w/ Thomas Wenger , Rene Ottlik, Olivier Rodriguez

in front of Tivoli, Mandarin Oriental Manila
Thank you to Mandarin Oriental's GM, Mark Bradford for inviting us over
to enjoy the culinary expertise of Michelin Star chef, Olivier Rodriguez.
I had a very full day that day that all I wanted was to sleep
and massage my feet!
I had countless meetings that day then
went to Manila FAME with my bff, Cel
picked up kids
went to Space 2000 (Furnitalia's cabinets/kitchen section)
went home, my Mom is sleeping over
She cooked for the kids
One thing I'm happy about is that my kids love my Mom's cooking
My mom's a great cook
even my hubby says so
So am glad that growing up we always enjoyed her cooking
and am able to share that with my children
Rested a bit then got ready to go out
My hubby and I always tease each other
saying, are we that old???
When you see me at events
I would only stay for maximum 2 hours
Normally, from 6ish to 8 p.m.
So, I'm home early and still have quiet time.
That dinner was like 4 hours!!!
It's a 7-course menu
and I needed toothpicks to keep my eyes open as 4th course was
already at 10 p.m.!
Good thing, every course was worth the wait
If you still can make it
Book a table at Tivoli
Last day to experience Olivier's food tonight!
Bon appetit!

having drinks at Felix

One of my fave, fave, fave vacation spots in the world. Hong Kong was and will always be home to me.
Some of our fave spots with Jan Svoboda, then Resident Manager of the Peninsula HK and now Managing Partner of HK Kee Club. Jan is an excellent host!
Shown here : Felix restaurant , designed by Philippe Starck

lunch with an old friend

Had lunch with an old friend from high school at Cantinetta, Burgos Circle, Global City.
Sometimes, more than good food, a great conversation is all you need to have a perfect lunch.
Enjoy the photos...
